Flushing International hosted three representatives from the United Nations. The  purpose of the United Nations is to bring all nations of the world together to work for peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and the well-being of all people.  The main focus of the presentation was helping the students understand all the ‘Ways the UN Makes a Difference in Our Everyday Life’ with five focal areas:
        1. Humanitarian Relief
        2. Poverty and Sustainable Development
        3. Climate Change
        4. Education
        5. HIV/AIDS

Click on the links above to learn more about the five focal areas.
